I think I'm booked on this one but it's due to fly out on the 4th, not the 5th ? If it's the same trip then that's 2 of us at least :-). Where are you flying from ?
(Annapurna circuit (TNQ) is due to fly out on the 5th.)
I think we are taking the same trip. The trek starts Oct 5. I am flying from Canada on the Oct 3 arriving in Katmandu on the 4th. I have a buddy coming with me as well. Leaving the wives at home:)
Where are you flying from?
Yes, it must be the same one. I'm flying from Manchester in the UK so I'm not sure who's got the longest flight (I suspect it might be you) :-)
Hi ChunkyDuncs, where are you based ?
I've been trying to find a guide book on Kathmandu, so I can have some idea of what to do there, but surprisingly had no luck so far. Anybody else managed to get one ? I have been before, about 10 years ago but just wandered around in a daze (bit of a culture shock to me :-) ). It would be good to have a plan of sorts this time.
Hi there...I did this trip last year in October. Don't worry about not knowing what to do in Kathmandu. When you get to your hotel the trek guide will have a list of things to do and places to see in Kathmandu and you can book with them...I did the Bhodinath temple which was amazing! Just wandering around Thamel is an experience in itself!
You guys are going to have an amazing time during the trip! I am going back with Exodus to do Everest Base Camp this year in October....
All the best :-)
Thanks very much for that info, it's a good thing to hear from someone who's done the trek before. I've not heard of the Bhodinath temple before so I shall definitely be looking that one up. Hope your Everest basecamp goes well, I'm sure it will. Don't go and get tempted to go all the way though, I believe that's rather tough ! :-)
