- Ski through authentic Tyrolean scenery
- Enjoy kilometres of loipe to yourselves
- Try the delicious local cuisine
Just south of historic Innsbruck, our base is the pretty and traditional village of Trins, set at 1233m. This quaint village allows access to a large variety of skiing areas in the surrounding valleys: the Gschnitztal and Obernbergtal to the West towards the Stubai mountains and the Schmirntal to the East rising into the Zillertal Alps. After a hard day's skiing through quiet Tyrolean valleys, we can relax in our lovely hotel, where the bar awaits us with afternoon tea and fresh cakes.
What makes this trip responsible?
Our hotel for this trip is the family run Hotel Wienerhof, which is part of the Tiroler Wirthaus (an association of traditional Tyrolean restaurants) and offers fantastic Tyrolean cuisine prepared with fresh local products. It has also received the AMA Seal of Approval: an Austrian system of traceability of agricultural products, guaranteeing higher quality goods.
As part of our commitment to Responsible Tourism and in an effort to keep reducing our carbon footprint, we have chosen to use public transport as much as possible throughout this itinerary.
All our leaders are committed to Responsible Tourism and have received training and get additional refresher training on a regular basis so they can help you reduce your impact and maximise the benefits to the local communities from your visit.
Trins & The Three Valleys - Winter Walking
Trins & The Three Valleys: Don't forget that our winter walking trip to Trins also stays at Hotel Wienerhof (see CAT for trip details). The trip runs on some cross-country skiing dates, so it is possible for two people to share a room but enjoy different activities.
We also offer an Independent cross-country skiing trip throughout the winter (see LCT for details)
