- Ski at different levels each day
- Enjoy excellent value with all meals included
- See the Northern Lights
Snow-sure and picturesque, the traditional Norwegian town of Venabu sees cross-country skiers returning for that 'away from the crowds' experience year after year. A short distance from Lillehammer, this stunning destination sits on the edge of the Rondane National Park, looking down on the Gudbransdalen Valley. There's a chance of seeing the Northern Lights, especially in December and January, and the dramatic landscape ranges from spectacular gorges and snow-capped peaks to pretty fells and valleys that extend to the horizon.
In partnership with Headwater
This trip is operated by our sister company, Headwater, who offer more flexibility so you can ski as much or as little as you like. There is no minimum age on this tour; children are welcome to join as long as they are able to participate in the skiing. Please note that if you are travelling on your own, a single supplement will be applied. A small group supplement may also apply to airport transfers and ski lessons if there are less than 6 persons booked on a departure (in total). Insurance details are required at the time of booking.
What makes this trip responsible?
We avoid crowded downhill resorts, seeking out instead incredibly pretty, off-the-beaten-track mountain villages where life continues as it has for centuries. We choose small, family-run hotels, offering great regional cuisine, run by owners who take a genuine interest in their guests. This is the traditional heart of Norway - totally untouched by tourism - with dramatic landscapes, brightly painted houses and ancient wooden churches.
