- Explore the magnificent Drakensberg mountains
- Discover the wildlife of Kruger National Park
- Cycle through forests, waterfalls and canyons
This breathtaking route combines the highest mountains in South Africa with the incredible wildlife of Kruger. From the saddle we enjoy stunning views, riding over scenic mountain passes, past curious rock formations, abandoned gold mines and forests along the largest green canyon on earth. We leave our bikes for a couple days to go on safari in Kruger National Park where lions, rhinos, elephants, giraffes and various other animals are regularly seen. One of the best ways of experiencing the beauty and diversity of eastern South Africa is behind a pair of handlebars.
What makes this trip responsible?
On this trip we stay in a number of small locally owned properties which provide employment to the local population. We also stay in a number of national parks where the money generated returns into the park in the form of conservation efforts. We use some local guides and buy local produce thereby contributing the local economy.
